Why an adapter at all?
Your factory screen can do more than CarPlay lets it
CarPlay and Android Auto show only selected apps in the car: maps, music, messages. Netflix or YouTube do not run there. A fixed extra display starts at 1.000 €.
An adapter, by contrast, plugs into the USB port you already use for CarPlay and brings its own small Android with it. Streaming apps then run on the screen your car already has. Plug it in, pair the phone once, done.

Add a quad-core processor with Android 13, Bluetooth 5.4 and dual-band Wi-Fi. Carlinkit also has a quad-core processor, but it runs Android 9. Ottocast, AutoLinkr and AAWireless name neither a processor nor an Android version.

Does the AIBOX GO need a SIM card?
No. It goes online through your phone's hotspot or a Wi-Fi network and uses the data allowance you already have.
Can I watch videos while driving?
Video on the main screen is for breaks and the parked car. Navigation and music run as usual while you drive.
Does the AIBOX GO fit my car?
It needs factory CarPlay or Android Auto, usually from model year 2016. For BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce there is the AIBOX GO PRO. Check your model before you buy with the car check on the product page.
What if it does not fit after all?
You have 60 days to return it from delivery, and a 2-year warranty.
