A tall dark vehicle on a flat country road

The Urus is a Lamborghini that is also a tall family car

Sant'Agata builds a super-SUV under a bull's name. It sits beside the low V10 and V12 cars, not instead of a story about them.

The Urus is Lamborghini's SUV. It is high, it has four doors, and it wears the bull. It exists so the company is not only a maker of low cars with the engine in the middle. That is a different job from a Huracán, and pretending otherwise is how a range gets described as one mood.

Two kinds of car, one factory

The low cars remain the brand's old argument: V10 in the Huracán, V12 in the flagship line that ran through the Aventador. The Urus is the tall argument. Both come from Sant'Agata. A reader who only knows the doors that open upward should know the Urus is also a Lamborghini, and a reader who only knows the Urus should know it is not the whole firm.

No price, no sales total, no claim about what it "means" for the future. Those are announcements. The fact we will keep is the shape of the range. Lamborghini builds mid-engine sports cars and, with the Urus, a super-SUV named the same way, after a bull.
